The last time I reached out, I was sure you would remember. That you would wake up from this madness before it was too late. I gave you a chance. I waited. But instead, you went through with it.
You announced to the world that you were choosing him on your Roka. And tonight—tonight, you let him take your hand and slip his ring onto your finger. Smiling. Laughing. Wrapped in gold, glowing under the lights, every eye on you. And yet, I saw what they couldn’t. I saw the way your fingers trembled, how your smile faltered for just a second. How you glanced over the crowd as if searching. I was there, my love. I was right there. So close. Watching. Waiting.
I know why you’re doing this. You’re hurting. You’re trying to push me away, trying to bury what we have. I understand. I know the training was painful, but it had to be.
